Lih-Ming Tam is Running for City Council!
Lih-Ming Tam has decided to run for the Port Coquitlam City Council. This website will tell you all about Lih-Ming, his biography, why he's running and his political views.
About Lih-Ming Tam

Born on February 25, 1967 in Sandakan, Malaysia, his family immigrated to Canada on August 6, 1968 and settled in Richmond, British Columbia.
In 1996, Lih-Ming and his wife Donna decided it was time to start their family and chose Port Coquitlam as their permanent home. With two children, Noah Tyler Tam (13) and Annaleigh River Tam (2), the Tam’s are active members in the community participating in school activities, supporting our local martial arts community, and encouraging local business owners to support community events and organizations through Lih-Ming's leadership of the Business Improvement Association of Port Coquitlam. “It takes a village to raise a child” is one of Lih-Ming’s favourite phrases.
With the support of his family, Lih-Ming Tam confirmed his decision to seek election as Councillor of Port Coquitlam.
Over the past five years, Lih-Ming has supported and been involved in community events such as May Day, Spirit Week, Poco Car Show, Art Connect, Heritage, and Harvest Festival. In addition, he has advised and participated in the development of our City through his seat as an Advisor to the Smart Growth Committee (formally known as the Economic Development Committee) since 2008 through his position as President of the Port Coquitlam Business Improvement Association.
